2010 H.O.G. Director - Paul Aubert

Welcome to our website!  I am Paul Aubert, the Director of the Harley Owners Group Baton Rouge Louisiana Chapter. I have been a Harley Rider since 1975 and first affiliated with the Harley Owners Group in 1998.  I served as the Safety Officer for the Baton Rouge Chapter in 2000 and as Chapter Director in 2001.  I am also a Vietnam Era Veteran, having served in Naval Aviation as an aircrew member.

The Baton Rouge Chapter has over 250 (and growing) dedicated, enthusiastic members.  Our Chapter meetings are held on the first Saturday of each month at 10:00 a.m. in the H.O.G. meeting room located upstairs at the Harley- Davidson/Buell of Baton Rouge dealership.  We have a number of events for the Baton Rouge Chapter members to participate in from rides to social events and picnics, you name it. We encourage all our members to take an active participation in all our activities.

For those who are not familiar with H.O.G., it is all about riding your Harley and having fun.  When you become a member of the Harley Owners Group on the national level, you become entitled to exclusive access to events on a local, regional and national level.  H.O.G. membership also gives you access to a number of benefits, programs and services.  Here are just a few: Access to participation at H.O.G. events, Roadside Assistance Program, Safe Rider Skills Program, Theft Reward, Towing Reimbursement, Mileage Program, H.O.G. merchandise and the list goes on.  So if you are not a member, think about joining.  You will definitely enjoy the experience.

On a local level, our monthly Chapter rides are on the second Sunday of the month.  Our Ladies of Harley rides are on the fourth Saturday of the month.  We will also have several bonus rides and an overnight destination ride this year.  For more information on the Ladies of Harley, please check out the L.O.H. webpage.  Just click on L.O.H. Officer from the homepage and see what Christy Smith has to say!

We are active participants in events for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. We assist with the annual Harley-Davidson motorcycle raffle for MDA and escort the MDA kids to their annual summer camp.  We also support our military service members on active duty by sending supplies for our U. S. Troops overseas.  We also have organized rides to the Louisiana War Veterans home to show our thanks to those who have served our great nation.

Of course one of our favorite events is the annual Christmas Toy Run where our very own “Santa” takes center stage and fulfills Christmas wishes.  This annual event brings our members together for a motorcycle escort of Santa Claus complete with a “sled” full of toys bound for those very special boys and girls.

So, please, come and join us for the fun!  For more information on how to join the Baton Rouge Chapter, please click on Membership Information on our homepage.

Remember to keep your knees in the breeze and always:
