Welcome to the Baton Rouge Chapter website. The Baton Rouge Harley Owners Group Chapter and Harley Davidson of Baton Rouge send "care" packages to soldiers quarterly. We sent our first shipment in March 2008, and as of today, have blessed over 1051 soldiers. We welcome and invite everyone and/or any organization to join us in this worthy mission. If you have an active duty soldier that we can bless, please contact Christy Smith at

Our next care package stuffing is... May 1, 2010 after the HOG Chapter Meeting:
Below are several ways you can help support our troops:
- You can purchase any item or variety of items and place them in a one gallon size zip-lock bag with a note from you to a Soldier. Drop it off at the Harley-Davidson/Buell of Baton Rouge dealership. Please attach a note to the packages stating; ATTENTION: CHRISTY SMITH, HOG CHAPTER.
- Remember, you can pick up an item each time you go to the store. Do not forget to attach a note to the package stating; ATTENTION: CHRISTY SMITH, HOG CHAPTER. Also one gallon size freezer bags are needed.
- If you are not sure of what to send, you may also donate cash. Christy will purchase the items and make the bags. Please place the money in a secure envelope and give to Christy Smith or any HOG Officer. You must state on the envelope: ATTENTION: CHRISTY SMITH FOR THE SOLDIERS.
- You can also get your churches, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, any organization or business involved. Girl Scout troops have been involved with a project of making thank you cards for the soldiers. Sunday school classes have brought in specific items. Churches have placed a box in the foyer for donations. So you see the possibilities are endless.
- Everyone is invited to help stuff care packages. The next "stuffing" will be held after the May 1, 2010 HOG Meeting. Please contact Christy Smith at
